Description
I captured this image just as the sun was rising on an especially cold and snowy winter morning. The little goldfinch sat on a rock in my garden and as he turned his head, the first rays of the sun illuminated his feathers which were puffed to insulate against the cold. Editing helped sharpen and define the image.
